Our Story
John Hogan, the owner of Blue Nail Exteriors, learned about the importance of professional construction at an early age. In middle school, the garage of his mother’s house was converted to a beautiful suite for his grandmother, who was battling cancer.
When it was time to sell the home, this garage apartment ended up being the reason the sale fell through. It turns out that the hired contractor never obtained the necessary permits. As a result, John’s mom had to spend more money to turn the living space back into a garage again. Not only had she recently lost her mother to cancer, but she was dealing with a money pit because of the contractor’s oversight.
Ultimately, the value of the home dropped, and it took months to find a new buyer. Unfortunately, this story is just one of many over the years. Too often, homeowners are taken advantage of by contractors offering shoddy work.
Since he grew up in the construction industry, John understands the dirty tricks that are often pulled to save money on the job site. His mission now is to protect homeowners— helping families avoid the pain and expense that comes from negligence, poor workmanship, and contractor shortcuts. John holds a strong commitment to quality and leads a team that supports the same cause.
