John is the CEO and founder of Blue Nail Exteriors, a company committed to changing the narrative surrounding contractors. He grew up in the construction industry through his father’s business and planned to enter the finance world after finishing his MBA. Instead, he chose to fill a generational gap that was evident in roofing. His visionary approach has earned partnerships with industry leaders such as GAF and James Hardie – even being chosen to install special projects for their executives and serving on national advisory boards.

Dynamic and collaborative with a keen ability to communicate effectively, EJ Thoren brings nearly 15 years of experience in design and construction management.As Sales Manager, EJ collaborates seamlessly with project consultants and the production team to ensure that clients receive the utmost project experience. From initial consultation to final implementation, EJ’s dedication ensures excellence at every stage. A native of New Jersey, EJ received his bachelor’s of communication from the University of Tampa. He enjoys offroading in his Jeep and hiking the many trails the tri-state has to offer. EJ gets his passion and energy from practicing gratitude and a positive mindset.

With 16 years of sales expertise, Bernie excels. From Cingular to Bloomingdale’s, his journey shaped him. GAF-certified, Bernie specializes in roofing, siding, windows, doors, and masonry. Notably, he was a Great Lakes Region Sales Leader, earned Bloomingdale’s Best of the Best 8 times, and led at Blue Nail in 2023. He’s all about active listening, empathy, and business acumen. A family person, Bernie loves the outdoors, and music festivals, and he was once a chef for 11 years!
